Capstone Design + Build, LLC provides SINGLE SOURCE project delivery method, in contrast to the “design-bid-build” process.  integrating the architect and builder at every stage of the creative process minimizes risks for the project Owner and shortens the project timeline.

By integrating the talents of informed architects with the skills of inspired builders, Capstone’s work exhibits a refreshing clarity of detail and craft producing an aesthetic both natural and unique.  Together with our trusted network of professional, trade and supplier resources, we bring the expertise and hands-on experience in architecture, design, structural engineering, construction trades, site superintending and project management necessary to make every project we take on a success.

PROCESS

  1.  Pre-design – Identifying clear project goals; primarily function, aesthetics, budget and schedule.  Gathering information from the client and site, establishing a framework for design, and sorting out wants from needs.
  2. Schematic design – Incorporating pre-design objectives, site parameters, related code, jurisdictional requirements and relationships between spaces and site.  At the conclusion of this stage, we establish a budget and execute a pre-construction contract.
  3. Design development –   During this stage, the project comes into focus as we work collaboratively to maximize the project’s potential, honing the design, project scope and budget.
  4. Pre-Construction
    •  Construction/ Permit DocumentsCreating final drawings used for construction and permitting of the project.
    • Final Pricing:  Finalizing the construction cost and schedule, obtaining key contractor and supplier quotes, and mobilizing to implement the work.
    • Permitting:  Acquiring building and other related approvals for the construction of the project.
  5. Construction - Getting the job done. On time, on budget, as promised.
